Aly Raisman

Alexandra Rose Raisman, born May 25, 1994 was an American retired artistic gymnast. She was also twice an Olympian. She was captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams, who won their respective team competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she was awarded gold medals for the floor and team competitions, and also the bronze medal for the balance beam, making her the most accomplished American gymnast to compete at the Games. She won a team gold medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gabby Douglas and Raisman are the only Americans to have two consecutive gold medals in this competition. Raisman was also awarded silver medals in the individual all-around and floor exercise. Raisman also received silver medals for the individual all-around , as well as in floor exercise. She was also a two-time national champion on floor exercise (2012, 2015), the 2012 champion of the national team on the balance beam and five times medalist in the all-around at the national championships (silver in 2016, bronze in 2012, 2011, and also in 2015). In 2013 she was admitted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
