Melissa Oneil

MelissaMelissa Crystal O'Neil (born July 12 1988,) is a Canadian actor and singer. O'Neil was the first Canadian female winner of Canadian Idol's season 3 finale, was the winner in 2005. O'Neil is primarily known as an actress for her roles in the series Syfy as Two or Rebecca/ Portia Lin, and on ABC as Officer Lucy Chen in the ABC procedural drama series The Rookie. She was selected among the bottom three and two of the finals. The judges were shocked by this and encouraged viewers to choose Melissa for her vocal talent. O'Neil was praised for her performances and she didn't drop to the lowest three. Zack Werner declared that O'Neil was "a threat" to win the entire thing. O'Neil and Rex Goudie both made it to the second round of the show on September 7, 2005. After yet another stunning performance, Werner declared that "The King [Kalan Porter] has passed away, long live Queen". O'Neil defeated Goudie in the final results showon the 14th of September on the 14th of September, 2005. O'Neil was also crowned the third Canadian Idol and the first female winner.
