Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first musical encounter. She was a trumpet player. Later, she began the classical and hip-hop genres. While in college, she took classes in writing and women's studies. She even spent a short time studying Mandarin during her time in Beijing. However, it wasn't until she graduated that she shifted her focus to music. The song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in the year 2012. The track was later included on her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. Some other hits that went viral included queef, a body positive track, and the witty NYC Bitche$ hometown tour. The latter song was linked directly to another project, Awkwafina's NYC A travel guide that was released in the year 2015. Her resume contained both an the musician and author. The singer was seeking to expand her career into acting. Apart from the early television programs like Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in movies like Neighbors2Storks, and Bad Rap.
